You are a Dedicated scientist
What is most important to you in working life?
You have a high need to perform and thus, you look for challenges in your work. You dedicate yourself to whatever you do. You want to be competent and you set high goals for yourself. You are skeptical, critical of yourself and impatient with mistakes, inefficiency and lack of competence in both yourself and others as well as systems. Even though you mostly keep your thoughts to yourself, peering into the future, recognizing trends and participating in long-term planning interest you. You are often interested in the theoretical and scientific. Thus, you are interested in academic work as well as leadership and expert positions in commerce and industry where you can be a creative problem-solver, who works to solve issues in new strategic ways independently and individually. You may also be interested in arts. Due to your strong desire for independence, you want to work independently without the help of others, even when facing difficult problems. You are not fond of authorities nor hierarchy. Nevertheless, you prefer to work in an environment that is well-designed and organised and that invests in its employee’s growth. You only respect leaders who possess personal authority and who understand your need for independence. Your ideal organisation offers a low hierarchy and little to no supervision of its creative workers. There, nobody uses the phrase “This is how we have always done things around here…”. In general, you do not want to be surrounded by other people. Find out more about different fields suited to you.
